Is My Cat Crazy?
Describe what your cat did. We'll tell you if your cat is crazy, dramatic, haunted, or just being a cat.
Meet the team ๐พ
Three tuxedo cats in permanent formalwear who somehow run this entire operation. They do not answer emails.

Sirine
8 yrs ยท tuxedoFounder & Chief Executive Cat
Founded the studio from a sunlit windowsill and has eight hard-earned years of executive napping experience. Ends every meeting by lying on the keyboard. Her word is final, mostly because she is the biggest.

Sirin
5 yrs ยท tuxedoHead of Chaos Engineering
Personally stress-tests every shelf, table, and full glass of water in the building. Fluent in 3 AM zoomies and long, judgmental staring. If something is broken, he was 'just testing it.'

Minto
2 yrs ยท tuxedoChaos Intern (Junior)
Two years old and already responsible for most of our incident reports. Technically an intern, behaves like the landlord. Currently training to understand that ankles are colleagues, not prey. It is not going well.
Cat questions, semi-answered ๐
Real reasons behind the chaos. Still not veterinary advice โ just fewer jokes.
Is my cat actually crazy?
Almost certainly not. Nearly all 'crazy' cat behavior โ zoomies, ankle ambushes, 3 AM screaming, staring at nothing โ is completely normal feline instinct. This test is for laughs, not diagnosis.
Why does my cat go crazy at 3 AM?
Cats are crepuscular, meaning they're wired to be most active around dawn and dusk. A burst of pent-up energy at night (the famous 'zoomies') is normal, especially for indoor cats. It feels like chaos; to your cat it's cardio.
Why does my cat attack my ankles?
Ankles are fast-moving, low to the ground, and irresistible to a bored predator. It's play and hunting instinct, not a vendetta. More toys and scheduled play usually turn down the ankle threat level.
Why does my cat knock things off tables?
Curiosity, paw-testing, and the glorious reaction they get from you. To a cat, a cup near an edge is basically a science experiment waiting to happen. Move the fragile stuff; the research continues either way.
Why does my cat stare at the wall?
Cats hear and see things we don't โ faint sounds, tiny movements, shifts in light. Staring at a 'blank' wall is usually your cat monitoring something totally real to them. Spooky, but normal. (No ghosts required.)
How does the Is My Cat Crazy test work?
You describe your cat's behavior and we match keywords to a playful category, then use a simple seeded formula to produce a 'crazy level' and diagnosis. Same description gives the same result. There is zero science involved โ that's the point.
When should I actually worry about my cat?
This site can't help with health issues. If your cat suddenly stops eating or drinking, has trouble breathing, is bleeding, straining to pee, vomiting repeatedly, very lethargic, or behaving very differently all of a sudden, skip the jokes and contact a veterinarian.
